Adult and Young Adult Services

We offer a variety of free programs and services for adults and teens: monthly art openings, book clubs, Anime nights, guest speakers, author readings, computer classes, and much more.  As well, our collections have something to satisfy the tastes of all readers.

Readers' Advisory - Looking for a good read? Not sure what to pick up next? Maybe we can help you.  Click here for our online readers' advisory corner.

Programs – The library often invites guest speakers to offer informative sessions to the public on a variety of topics, like wills and estate planning, gardening, nutrition and Tai Chi.

Book Clubs – For adults and teens who love to read and discuss books with other readers, we offer book clubs. The library provides the books to be read.

Author Readings – Many times the library will host visiting authors who like to share their books and poetry with readers.  In April, many of the Frye Festival events take place at the library.

Noon hour Lunch and Learn series – In conjunction with Mount Allison University, the library hosts professors who speak on topics which interest them and also the public at large.

Anime programs for teens – On a monthly basis the library has a group of teens that meet to screen Anime films and enjoy some snacks along with discussions about Anime and Manga.
