Children's Services
We invite you to discover the wonderful treasures that await you here. There are beautiful picture books, awesome stories, and information about anything you could possibly imagine, as well as magazines, movies, audio books and music. We also have computers with Internet access just for kids.
Programs The library has regular arts and crafts activities as well as a variety of others aimed at developing a love in reading, like storytimes, Babies in the Library, and book clubs.
Play at the Library Visit our play area where children can let their imaginations soar. There is a puppet theatre, puppets, toys and puzzles or you can curl up in a bean bag chair with a book.
Need Information? At the Children's Information Desk we can help you find a great book or assist you in finding on-line information whether it's for a school project, or just for fun.
Travelling Suitcase Help you child prepare for a hospital visit by borrowing the Travelling Suitcase. It contains books, a DVD and many of the items your child will encounter at the hospital. To borrow the Travelling Suitcase ask at the Circulation Desk.
Book Packs Are there changes in your child's life? We have Bookpacks full of books on different subjects such as the arrival of a new baby, moving day and potty training which you can borrow to help you child through these changes. For Teachers Educator cards are available for teachers, day care workers, student teachers and home schooling parents. With an Educator card you can borrow books for classroom use for six weeks, and there are no late fines. To apply for an educator card visit the Circulation Desk.
